Okanagan Lavender Herb Farm

Lavender – who doesn’t like it, right? I love it. The smell, the flowers and multiple uses…

Have you ever tried lavender ice cream? Or lavender cake? It’s delicious!! And my most used facial cream is also lavender – of  course from Moji Herbal’s kitchen. Smells great because of lavender infused oil and also lavender essential oil, which I bought on my visit in the Okanagan Lavender Herb Farm on our road trip in summer.   We missed the lavender fields (it was right after the harvest). But they still have so many things to see there! On the farm they grow almost all herbs that you can use in the kitchen or for cosmetic uses – basil, thyme, echinacea, hops, mint, oregano, winter savory, lemon balm, calendula and so many types of lavender! They distill lavender (4 different cultivars), spearmint, thyme, oregano for essential oils and hydrosols. And they also sell their nice products (mostly lavender) in a beautiful boutique and you can enjoy the amazing view on the lakes and hills in a Small Bites Cafe with lavender tea or lavender cookie. Yum! It was a great inspiring visit!

And the next stop on our road trip was the Kalamalka Lake, where I collected wild sage for the Lemon hand cream.
