Here are some easy DIY homemade formulas for spring cleaning and one of my favorite blend of essential oils I love to use:
Citrus peel vinegar
- citrus peel (grapefruit, lemon, orange peel, or any other citrus peel you have on hand) to half-fill a jar you using
- distilled white vinegar
Cut the citrus peel, so they fit your glass jar. Fill the jar with vinegar and close with a plastic lid or use parchment paper underneath a metal lid (vinegar eats metal). Let the jar sit at room temperature, out of direct sunlight, for about 2 weeks, shaking it every few days.
Strain the vinegar into a clean jar and label it. Combine 1 part of citrus vinegar with 1 part of water in a spray bottle. Use to disinfect, deodorize, and degrease countertops, floors, windows, and more. Please do not use it on porous surfaces like marble, stone, and hardwood.
